I work with teams and individuals who are overwhelmed, exhausted or burnt out, or have been through a change process.
My workshops and coaching give them the energy, confidence and tools to go from struggling to supercharged!
The world is in a difficult place at the moment.
On so many different levels; from political and economic challenges to humanitarian heartbreak. And it seems that many people have been experiencing difficulties on a personal level too.
This has culminated on an organisational and team level in change initiatives for many. And off course with any change, it is not the structural or process change that is the hardest, but rather the personal transition as individuals navigate the emotional turmoil that goes along with loss of the old and moving towards acceptance of the new.
On a personal level, all of the above has manifested in mental, emotional, physical and spiritual overwhelm and exhaustion. Which may be why we see such an increase in burn out, with more of the same forecasted.
It would also seem that we have set our default to ‘busy’ and ‘doing’ instead of ‘being’. I could give you all sorts of reasons why I think this happens, from social media to the rapid pace that the worlds seems to be moving at, information overload and global competition.
My own experience tells me that it has a lot more to do with an internal belief about proving ourselves through external delivery. And about learning to simply allow ourselves to be.
To be ‘human-beings’ instead of ‘human-doings’.
A lot has happened in the wellbeing space lately that is very positive. We have come a long way towards making the wellbeing and mental health conversation main stream. It’s time to take this work into organisations in full earnest. And that means managing both the stress, and the stressors. It’s time to delve into what is actually causing teams and individuals to become stressed. From and introspection and self management point of view. But very importantly also from a team and organisation point of view. Because let’s face it, nothing will work if its not working for the people inside.
This is where I come in. I support your team to help figure all this out and take you from struggling to supercharged!
